Artist Context 
Pat Baum Bishop is a visual artist whose work spans fiber art, watercolor, acrylic painting, and experimental mixed processes. Inspired by nature, rural landscapes, and the shifting visual language of memory, Bishop’s art reflects both abstract sensibilities and elements of semi-representation. Her studio practice in Shawano County embraces thoughtful material experimentation and a deep connection to place.

Pat has won awards and been published in art magazines, exhibited in fine art galleries, and appeared on platforms such as The Quilt Show. Her work has garnered international recognition and appeared in regional exhibitions, affirming her profile within and beyond Wisconsin’s arts community. 

ABOUT PAT

 Pat Bishop is a mixed media artist using paint, fabric, an iron and a sewing machine, whose work is mostly abstract. She teaches, lectures and exhibits in fine art and fiber art exhibits. She has written articles for numerous publications and has appeared on Quilting Arts TV, TheQuiltShow.com and TextileArtist.com. She has been making art and sewing all her life, now living in Shawano, WI. She gets much of her inspiration from nature and her work is a reflection of her interest in nature preservation and a desire to use her art as a way to preserve memories.
