For m e freeman, imagination isn't something that gets switched on when it's time to create. It's simply how he sees.
Thoughts, conversations and ideas become three-dimensional, full-color images in his mind. That instinct—the mind of an illustrator—finds its way into artwork that moves between realism, surrealism and childlike wonder.
Working primarily in oil-based colored pencil, with occasional combinations of other media, m e creates entirely by hand, allowing imagination to lead the way.
Freeman’s creations often explore subtle interplay between color and form,
inviting a rich connection between viewer and work.
