Artist Context 
Maria Victoria Walker, professionally known as Lila Brochá (“purple brush”), is a vibrant mixed media and painting artist whose work blends story, memory, and emotion through color, texture, and whimsical visual language. After retiring from a corporate career, Lila devoted herself to telling layered stories through cityscapes, nature motifs, character ideas like “Ziggy Moon,” and deeply expressive abstractions. 

Seen Before 
Lila is a member of SAGE Green Bay and the Green Bay Art Colony. Her work has been featured in annual juried exhibits at the Neville Public Museum, regional galleries like The Art Garage, Roberta’s Gallery at UW-Whitewater, and other respected venues across Wisconsin, including juried exhibits at the John Michael Kohler Art Center and Rahr-West Museum.

Maria Victoria Walker, known professionally as Lila Brochá, is a mixed-media artist whose work explores emotion, memory, and imagined spaces. Her fine art practice is inspired by everyday moments and expressive use of color, texture, and form.

In a separate body of work, Walker created Ziggy Moon, an original illustrated character developed as a narrative project. Ziggy Moon exists within illustration and storytelling, representing curiosity, gentleness, and the quiet wonder found in small moments.

Across both fine art and character illustration, Walker’s work is rooted in imagination, calm, and emotional connection, inviting viewers into reflective and approachable visual worlds.

Ziggy Moon is an original character created by Lila Brochá as an extension of her fine art practice. Appearing in illustrations, objects, and story-based works, Ziggy Moon reflects themes of stillness, imagination, and emotional connection—inviting viewers of all ages into a softer, slower world.
