ABOUT THE ARTIST

Meet Lynn

Lynn has a wonderful eye for the small details—flowers, patterns, colors and the unexpected things we might otherwise pass by.

Through watercolor, she brings those details to life with bright color, fine lines and a playful sense of discovery.

There is something cheerful about Lynn’s work. It doesn’t ask us to analyze it. Sometimes it simply gives us a reason to smile.

LOOK A LITTLE LONGER

What do you notice first?

Stay with it for a moment.

What do you notice now that you didn’t see at first?

And I particularly like the butterfly for this. At first we see a butterfly. But once you start looking, there are all those tiny shapes, symbols, colors and patterns within its wings.

The artwork actually rewards doing exactly what we're asking the visitor to do.

Sometimes the smallest details give us the most to discover.

I'm a bit of a minimalist, and people have said things about my work like, "Less is more." I'm convinced it wasn't always a compliment, but so what!
