THE ART OF LYNN R PETERS
Lynn R Peters | Watercolor | Artist in Northeast Wisconsin | Up Arts Gallery
About Lynn
The daughter of an art teacher and an engineer, Lynn Peters grew up in a home where people cut, glued, sewed, built, knit, and carved. But her first experience with watercolor wasn’t until seven years ago. She didn’t entirely love it. Then, during the worst days of the Covid pandemic, she took an online class that introduced her to the idea of using ink and watercolor together. The drawing part came quite naturally, and the watercolor guaranteed there’d always be a challenge. She was hooked. Lynn painted four murals on a Town of Ledgeview bike trail, an undertaking she describes as “not for the of heart.” She belongs to the Green Bay Art Colony and the Lakeshore Artists Guild, and regularly takes classes with Midwest artists whose styles she admires.

I'm a bit of a minimalist, and people have said things about my work like, "Less is more." I'm convinced it wasn't always a compliment, but so what!
