Artist Context 

 I love 20th century art history. An evening spent researching the many art movements of the 20th century is time well spent. When I discover artworks that I admire from one of the art movements during that period, I often use what I have seen as a jump off point to create my own version inspired by those artworks. I am channeling the energy from that movement and reinterpreting it for the 21st century.

ABOUT DALE

My artworks represent my explorations of geometric form, space and color arranged through abstraction, with a predilection for balanced compositions and forceful expansive color. Experimentation with processes and materials plays a large part in what comprises my art. My two-dimensional and three-dimensional artworks utilize printmaking as the perfect medium to express my intuitions. The multitude of processes that are possible with printmaking and the inherent qualities of the materials involved, especially that of paper, is an important part of my art and a constant subtext throughout. My art captures the unique marriage of process and image that is distinctly printmaking.
